In December 2022, Tasikmalaya Municipality experienced inflation because in general the price developments for various commodity goods/services showed an increase. Based on the results of monitoring by BPS-Statistics Tasikmalaya Municipality, in December 2022 there was inflation of 0.53 percent, or an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 111.19 in November 2022 to 111.78 in December 2022. The inflation rate for the calendar year (January–December ) 2022 of 6.65 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (December 2022 to December 2021) is 6.65 percent.
Some commodities that will experience
price increases in December 2022 include: purebred chicken eggs, rice, cayenne
pepper, jengkol, and maintenance/service. Meanwhile, commodities that
experienced a decrease in price included oranges, shallots, papaya,
