With this, I would like to express praise and gratitude to Allah SWT that the 2001 GRDP publication for the City of Tasikmalaya has been published. One of the aims of publishing this book is to determine the level and economic growth, income in a region needs to provide Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data periodically and sustainable. Sectoral description/analysis will provide a clear picture of the economic growth of each sector, so that it can be used as material for planning and evaluating development results.
Tasikmalaya City GRDP 2000 - 2001 is the first publication to use the 1993 base year, after shifting the base year from 1983. The purpose of shifting the base year from 1983 to 1993 in general is to follow changes in the economic structure, community consumption patterns, technological developments and others. With the change in base year, it is hoped that the data presented will be. better describes changes in the economic structure of Tasikmalaya.
